WITH FALL UPON US...
Everyone knows Missouri has stunning fall weather and the foliage to be breathtaking. There is nothing quite like hitting the back roads for a graceful tour by the countryside on a fall morning - the sky the Horizon Blue of your 911, the leaves that match the vibrant red of your Maranello, or the orange of your M3. The air has a crisp feel to it and you've just enjoyed your favorite morning brew, why not take the top off and go for a drive?
We'll be taking a cruise to an authentically German town in Missouri, Hermann. Alongside the Missouri River, adorned with beautiful scenery and seven wineries, Hermann makes for a most beautiful destination for our occasion. We will be enjoying lunch at the Wurst Haus shortly following our arrival, after which will be plenty of photo opportunities for those interested. Rolling shots, stills by the river, whatever your fancy. Wine tasting is also an option, but if you wish to engage in such, please bring a designated driver just in case.
THE EVENT WILL GO AS FOLLOWS:
10A: MEET AT HY-VEE: CONLEY RD
10:30A: TOUR BEGINS
11.30-12P: ARRIVAL & LUNCH
1P-: PHOTO SESSIONS

FROM THE EVENT...
What a thrill. Upon arrival to the meeting location, we were blown away at the strength of the German presence. Much to our appreciation, though!
All participants used the 30 minute window a bit differently: Some of us went and got coffee to energize for the drive, some of had a miniature meet to discuss some of the new (to our community) vehicles that were present, and some of us snapped photos and shot video. No matter what you were doing, you could feel the excitement in the air.
Buckled in and ready to go, the tour began.
A little over half way there, we decided to stop and rest for a moment as well as check over the vehicles. With all systems go, we hit the road again.
The 911 really stood out, so a candid was in order:
Upon arrival in Hermann, we all parked riverfront and, of course, engaged in a small photo shoot. Its probably obvious, but we were pretty excited about having the next generation 7 series there with our recently restored e23.
To the restaurant! Or, so we thought...
*Three minutes later* Ok, ok, now to the Wurst Haus!
After entering and being greeted by polite staff, we were directed toward Meister Mike, who instructed the group to draw closer as he would be giving samples of the many Bratwursts they had available.
With full hearts and stomachs after a group meal, everyone posed for a photo:
WINE WAS AN IDEA, BUT PROBABLY NOT THE BEST ONE ... COFFEE, ANYONE?
We instead opted for some hometown coffee at Espresso Laine, a very cozy and comfortable coffee shop just down the way from the Wurst Haus. Upon walking in, we were immediately immersed in the aroma of espresso that filled the rooms and felt more than welcome as we were greeted by their kind staff; who added a personal touch by serving our drink with a chocolate espresso bean candy. A soft, pleasant breeze passed through the doorways as we enjoyed our brews and one another's company.
After enjoying our coffee while breaking a sweat playing a board game called FasTrack (go buy it, we promise its worth it), we were ready to head back. Some of the group had come from Kansas City and St. Louis, so a few of our members left as needed and headed their respective directions. However, there were just a few of us left that would drive the same route we took in to get back home.
ALL IN ALL...
The event was a rousing success. We at M&B as well as our partner, Driven Channel, would like to thank everyone that participated and those that helped to make it happen, we greatly anticipate the next event. We look forward to seeing you at the next one!
